Our Hansa Team

Kati

Kati

I started as the manager of Hansa Kindergarten in September 2017. Before that  I worked several years as a preschool teacher for the city of Espoo. In addition to managing the Kindergarten I teach Hansa’s preschool aged kids once per week. I’m eager to learn new things all the time and with Hansa’s awesome staff we create all the time new ways to work with kids.

In my freetime I take long walks with my dogs, take my sons to ice hockey training & games and read books.

"Make Learning Fun" became my moto after graduating in the field of Social Services from Stadia Polytechnic. This is the basis on which I start each day at Hansa. And even after over 7 years of being a staff member, and seeing off many children from kindergarten to school, that key essential still triumphs because it is a reflection of who I am in my love for music, writing and theatre.

Armi

Olen Armi Mellin. Oikealta ammatiltani suurtalouskokki.

I graduated Omnia with a Practical Nurse Certification in 2011 focusing on early childhood education. I started working for Hansa Kindergarten in 2011. I am a native English speaker from the U.S.A.

I currently teach the 4-5 year olds in my 'Tommy's Bunnies' group.

Some hobbies that I enjoy in my off time are astronomy, science, computer, I.T. related projects & photography.

Areti

I am in charge of the pre-school group (Squirrels) since the end of 2016 and I am very enthusiastic about working with them! I come from Greece where I completed my degree on early childhood education, with a minor on special education and psychology. My passions when it comes to teaching are basically anything that can actually be meaningful for the kids – you can always cover all sorts of areas anyway! Social and emotional development as well as inclusion is something particularly important for me since I believe that it fosters the eagerness and opportunities for learning. Working at Hansa is something I enjoy, due to the close relationship and cooperation between and among parents and staff.

During not-work time, I like reading, traveling, doing sports, spending time with friends and updating myself on interesting things related to child care and education.

Jing

I am Jing Jiang-Tirronen, qualified practical nurse.

I am from China, have been living in Finland over 20 years. Before I started studying becoming a practical nurse I worked as an assistant in an English playschool for 6 years. I started working for Hansa Kindergarten in the end of November of 2015 teaching the 3-4 year olds in Hansa Kindergarten. Each child is unique and different. Finding and supporting their strengths and potentials is one of our goals.

During my leisure time, I do running, walking and reading.
